Kona Brewing 'Castaway' IPA

Kona Brewing 'Castaway' IPA. 6% abv. Pale golden color. Thin white head with a brief stay. Low-moderate retention and lace. Nose of hop bouquet, faint sweet malt. Front taste of bitter hops, light caramel, crackers. Aftertaste of hop bite, grapefruit rind. Thin-medium body. Mouthfeel is warm, bubbly carb, a hop sting on the back of the tongue.

This beer is an excellent example of its category, a bright hoppy brew with a balance of bitter and background malt sweetness. Agressive hop profile, yet very drinkable. Highly recommended.
