Belching Beaver 'Peanut Butter Milk Stout'

Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout 1
Belching Beaver 'Peanut Butter Milk Stout.' 5.3% abv.  30 IBU. Black color. Thin tan head. Moderate retention, good lace. Nose of peanut butter, chocolate, toffee notes. Roasted coffee aroma emerges when the temp drops. Front taste of peanut butter, coffee, earthy. Aftertaste of roasted peanuts, earthy hop bitter. Medium body. Mouthfeel is warm, silky, creamy.

This is an excellent, unique beer.  It's rich, creamy, easy drinking, and easily delivers on its promise of peanut butter, which is up front in the nose, taste, and sustain. Hard to get in my neighborhood but definitely worth the effort. Highly recommended, especially if you love peanut butter.

From the brewery:

"Our Peanut Butter Milk Stout is simply irresistible. It’s like dark chocolate Reese’s in a glass! Rolled oats and Lactose add to the creamy body of this beer while heavenly aromas of roasted buttery peanuts and chocolate greet you with every sip. Try this out with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a real treat!"

"We made this beer for fun and its a local favorite. So we thought, “May as well bottle some.” This beer says even hard-working Beavers can play around once in a while. We hope you love it, too. If you do, let us know on Facebook. If you don’t, call troy directly and tell him. His head is getting little big around the brew pad, anyway. This beer is refreshingly smooth, tasting of roasted coffee, chocolate and peanut butter. Brewed with rolled oats and lactose, this beer has a silky-smooth mouth-feel finish. Don’t let the color fool you. This dark beer is easy-drinking."
