Moylan's Brewing 'Kilt Lifter' Scotch Ale

Moylan's Brewing 'Kilt Lifter' Scotch Style Ale. 8% abv. Deep copper color. Thin beige head that quickly falls to a bubbly thin collar. Fair retention and lace. Nose is faint at first, with emerging caramel and dark fruit as the temp rises. Front taste of roasted dark malt, brown sugar, dark cherry, cocoa, bittersweet going back. Aftertaste of bitter plum, oak notes, herbal back end. Full body. Mouthfeel is warm-hot, thick, astringent on the end.

This is an excellent Scotch ale, a modern classic of its category. The malt profile is roasty, dark, bittersweet, with notes of fruit, chocolate, and wood mingling throughout. You've probably already had this wonderful brew, but I encourage you to have another soon. Highly recommended.
